Schools and Libraries Should Have Armed Security Guards

Parents should not have to feel that the life of their child is in danger when they are at school or having to study at their local library. Having private security guards on site for school security is appropriate for both public and private institutions ranging from grade school to universities. School security guards can also assist and prevent bullying, which is a widespread problem within the nations’ school systems. Many libraries in urban environments are used as a place of refuge from bad weather, to rest, or pass the time by reading a book or magazine. If they're not bothering anyone, most libraries will allow them to stay. However, some people will try to bring in food or liquor, sleep, or engage in dishonest behavior, which frightens the other patrons. This is where the security officer comes in. With so many distractions in the world as it is, there should be armed security guards on campus all during school hours. Students should feel safe in school and at the library.
